There are techniques that are used in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy that can be applied to help your students deal with driving anxiety.


For example a certain technique called "Systematic Desensitisation" (sorry for the techinical term) that is normally used to conquer phobias can be applied to help students learn to relax during the test.


This works in the principle of teaching the mind to associate the driving test with being more relaxed. As you rehearse the driving test numerous times in your imagination whilst being in a deeply relaxed state the anxiety response reduces and the nerves are conquered.


Also there are certain coping techniques that can be taught to help them induce a relaxation response during or prior to the test using specific breathing techiniques.


These are just a couple of ways that strategies can be used to help overcome nerves.
